How did Soft-Temps originate?
The company behind Soft-Temps, U.S. Business Services, began development of Soft-Temps in 1998. The original design centered around software training for small businesses. In 1999, we incorporated the company as Software Consultants of America, Inc. with Soft-Temps as our trademark. The basic idea grew to include a "consultant database" that could be used to register qualified software trainers and experts in areas throughout the USA right over the Internet. In 2000, we further expanded Soft-Temps to include all computer services commonly used by small business.
We launched a "Beta" version of Soft-Temps in 2001 to help test various elements of the business including the consultant database. In 2002, we formally launched the franchise. In 2003, we began actively enrolling franchisees.
What can Soft-Temps do for me?
As a franchisee, you'll be part of our national brand... as opposed to operating as an independent IT services provider. When marketing your services to local businesses, working on your own can present credibility and standards issues that are often difficult to overcome.
However, when marketing as a franchise, you'll find that businesses are often more receptive as there is an expectation of quality and standards. As an independent operator, this is often a difficult issue to overcome.
Next, with Soft-Temps, you'll be up and running fast... not wasting countless hours developing the infrastructure of a computer services business. We've already done that for you. Imagine the time required to create web pages to promote your business, brochures, sales presentations, work order forms and a pile of related paperwork.
Add to that our consultant database, which allows you to further expand your business by accepting jobs in any number of specialties outside your area of expertise. Now, you'll have a database of experts to draw upon! At Soft-Temps, we've done all of this work for you... and so much more.
What separates Soft-Temps from other computer franchises?
First, our low franchise fee of $995. Compare that to the tens of thousands of dollars others charge. Also, you can start this business from home. Other computer franchises may require you to maintain a storefront or an expensive vehicle, but rarely permit you to work from home. With Soft-Temps, you can keep your present employment. With a number of others, you must quit your job and build a new business from scratch. And remember, once your business is going, they take a hefty chunk of your gross income, usually 5% to 11% as their royalty. With Soft-Temps, you only pay a small monthly subscription fee no matter how much business you write. We could go on and on. But you get the point. Soft-Temps is the smart choice for anyone starting an IT business.
Tell me more about your consultant database what can it do for me?
When you decide the time is right to expand your business beyond your own efforts, the Soft-Temps Consultant Database can be used to conveniently register and manage your own group of qualified computer and/or software experts via the Internet. You can market their capabilities to local businesses at competitive rates. As you get jobs, you can offer the assignments to your consultants. This allows you to accept work you could not otherwise handle. Plus, you can share your consultants with other Soft-Temps franchisees in your area to further expand your bottom line.
